Dear Washington Wheat Foundation Supporter:

The Washington Wheat Foundation was formed in 1988 by the WAWG to establish a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization where donations (tax exempt) could be made for the embellishment of grain industry related activities. Their mission is "to economically advance the small grains industry by building support for programs and activities that increase public awareness of farming's responsible approach to the essential production of our safe food supply, and the development of new knowledge about environmentally sound farming practices."

Principally focused on education of the public, the funding source for the Foundation is grants, donations and fundraising events the June Shoot, clay pigeon shoot in June being one of our fundraisers.  The fundraisers are used to provide two Washington State University agriculture scholarships, fund grants to organizations with similar missions in the area of education and to fund our own projects - a theatre advertising campaign and a billboard campaign based on Washington Wheat Something to Grow On! and funding to finish the WAWG Public Info Committee CD "Magic of Wheat."  The WWF also raised thousands of dollars to construct the building behind the WAWG building in Ritzville, WA.  This building is used by WAWG and other wheat related organizations as well as being rented for community activities.

You can see that the WWF by necessity solicit funds regularly.  The Foundation puts all their energy into their fundraisers, hoping to raise more each year to increase and broaden their reach to the public about the value of wheat itself and the value of the wheat industry to the economy.

It is to this end that we ask for your support of the

Annual June Shoot

Sponsorship includes signage, recognition before/during/after the event and listing on the WWF website at www.wawheat.org for the year until the next annual shoot.

Again this year, we are looking for some big donors.   Our intention is to make clear differentiations on the level of sponsorship and make sure the top sponsors are recognized in some special ways.  It would good to have your name on the top.
